Welcome to reginasailing.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
This website is a platform where sailor Leon Schulz shares his personal sailing experiences without any claim of being the only solution to a nautical problem or being 100% correct. Tips and Tricks are shared in articles and videos with no commercial interest. These are all freely accessible form this website.
Books and Templates written by Leon Schulz are linked to the corresponding publisher, who sells them directly to customers.
Reginasailing is further a Family of Sailing Friends who meet at boat shows or in marinas and have fun together. Here costs are shared and there is no commercial interest from Reginasailing.
Reginasailing also offers a strictly limited number of guests to join on the commercially coded private sailing vessel Regina Laska, operated under The Sport and Pleasure Vessel Code by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA), UK. Regina Laska is registered in the UK with registration No 919358 and has Lerwick as its home port. The MMSI No is 235095448.
This websites shows past tracks and memories as well as future planed sailing trips and theory courses.
Participation Costs
Refit and running cost of the vessel is shared between guests and is pro-rata depending on the number of days you participate. Prices are fixed and stated under each individual leg on the Itinerary page. Cost for each leg includes diesel, food, harbour fees, repair cost and other running cost plus the extensive annual refit cost for keeping Regina Laska in mint condition. Only extra expenses, such as jointly going out eating in restaurants or shore excursions are shared equally after each restaurant visit etc.
In addition, Theory Courses are offered in preparation for going sailing.
Booking Procedure
Application to join on a sailing leg or theory course is done by e-mail or telephone. Participants are not allocated according to “first come first serve”. Instead an emphasis is put on allocating crews together with similar experiences and expectations to ensure a positive atmosphere onboard. All legs are therefore not necessarily filled to the maximum number of places onboard. Most sailing participants return annually or have participated on a theory course before joining and very often know each other before embarking Regina Laska.
When agreed, Reginasailing will send a booking form by e-mail which you are asked to read, fill in and sign, scan and return to Reginasailing by e-mail. After having paid your down-payment you are considered booked for the leg.

Privacy Policy
Reginasailing is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled securely and responsibly.
Reginasailing will process any personal and/or sensitive data on this form for providing tuition and for health care purposes as may be necessary for the benefit of the participant. Reginasailing undertakes to implement appropriate measures and safeguards for the purpose of protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data collected. No data will be released outside of Reginasailing except with your written consent or otherwise as may be necessary and/or required in terms of law. You also confirm that the data provided about third parties has been done with their full knowledge and consent. You have the right to require that we provide you with access to the personal data supplied and in appropriate circumstances, the right to rectify and/or erase any inaccurate, incomplete or immaterial personal data which is being processed.
Reginasailing will pass on only relevant data to the RYA for purposes of certification. Your name, contact details, date of birth, certificate number and date of issue will shared with the RYA through a secure web portal on www.rya.org.uk. The data will be stored on the RYA’s central database. This information allows the RYA to record your qualification, to update any records they may hold for you, and to verify or replace your certificate if required. We may collect the following types of personal information when booking a sailing leg or a theory course:

- Booking/course details

- Emergency contact person’s details (next of kin)

- Previously obtained nautical licenses
- Previously obtained First Aid and Safety at Sea certificates
- Current medical treatments or diagnoses/allergies
- Food requests
- Payment Processing
- Payment is solely done by bank transfer.

All communication is done via e-mail, WhatsApp, Signal or telephone.

Sharing memories and photos
Before any testimonial or photos are posted on this homepage, you will be able to see, acknowledge and amend any posts. “The Crew’s Log” is a completely voluntary way to share memories and photos.
On the booking form you have the right to refrain from having pictures of yourself to be uploaded and published on reginasailing.com, Instagram, in a Yachting publication etc. If you do not wish your photos to be seen publically, you will give notice of the same before the joining.

Some data may e processed or store outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Appropriate safeguards are used where required under applicable data protection laws.
