Cruising the Azores
24 – 31 Aug: Terceira – Terceira
After the very successful Azores cruising year of 2021 and 2023, Reginasailing will again explore these mid-Atlantic volcanic islands in 2025!
This leg will start and end on Terceira with excellent flight connections to many airports in Europe and especially of course Porto and Lisbon. The leg is chosen so that arrival and departure day is on a Sunday with more direct flights, e.g. Frankfurt.
Depending on the wind, we can plan to circumnavigate the island of Pico either clockwise or counter-clockwise visiting Pico, Faial, Sao Jorge and, weather permitting, possibly Graciosa.
On Faial possibly the main attraction for sailors is to enjoy a Gin do Mar at the legendary Peter Café Sport, like so many other sailors have done for well over 100 years on their way crossing the Atlantic.

The Azores has so much to offer, both above water (hiking!) as well as under water (diving!) that it’s an idea that you prolong your stay with some own holiday before or after the leg.

Swimming is a delight with some 25°C in the water, while the air hardly is warmer than that and pleasantly cool in the evenings.

Waling was previously part of the Azores where bones and teeth of the wales were made into art (Scrimshaw). Since long, waling is now replaced by wale-watching.

Price: EUR 2,560 per person including all food consumed onboard, harbour fees, diesel etc. plus visits to restaurants and pubs where the cost will be shared equally.
