Leg 5 & 6/2026

27 May – 13 Jun:    Along the Spanish North Coast: History, Mountains and Tapas from La Rochelle/France to La Coruna/Galicia, Spain.

.

South Biscay is a highly neglected cruising ground with the highest density of Michelin Star restaurants in the world in this Basque Country. Even if one doesn’t want to go to a Michelin Star restaurant (every day) the culture of preparing food and especially Tapas have spilled over even to the simplest of restaurants!

This is how the Tapas look in San Sebastian

Enjoy the below photos and picture yourself in a mix of French atmosphere and fantastic learning surrounding onboard a beautiful Hallberg-Rassy 46!

We will visit cultural museums and understand the history of the Basque Country.

We will sail along the foot of the Pyrenees  with high mountains in the font.

Anchoring in one of the many small Rias along the north coast of Spain.

Price: EUR 4,144 (Leg 5) plus EUR 2,260 (Leg 6) joined together as a special request by the guests who have booked these legs as one. Price per person including all food consumed onboard, harbour fees, diesel etc. Restaurants come extra, where we share the cost.

We will not be able to sail every day due to the fact that winds are either east or west and sometimes there is a Swell into the Bay of Biscay. Maybe this is the reason why South Biscay is not so popular? But who would hurry when there is so much to explore ashore?
