Leg 7/2026

16 – 25 June    Galicia and Portugal: La Coruna/Spain, rounding Cape Finisterre, the Rias and the Portuguese coast to Cascais/Lisbon/Portugal.

Galicia is one of the finest cruising grounds, if there hadn’t been the orcas attacking boats…

Galicien, Rias Baixas, San Vicente, Strand

Now luckily, they follow the blue fin tuna and thanks to orcas.pt one knows quite well where they are. Their season is to stay south in June and then migrate north with the tuna and turn Galicia into a daunting area during August and September. That’s when you should not sail in Galicia. That’s why Reginasailing is enjoying Galicia outside the orca-season.

Isla Cíes reminds me of the Caribbean. You need a special permit to anchor here, which I have.

The Symbol for the pilgrimage, The Shell of Saint James, served as Scallops in one of the many great seafood restaurants in Galicia.

From Baiona we will enter Portugal and enjoy a completely different, and yet so pleasant couple of towns along the way towards Lisbon.

Price: EUR 3,390 per person including all food consumed onboard, harbour fees, diesel etc. Restaurants come extra, where we share the cost.
