The Bay of Biscay... what a glorious sailing leg on Regina Laska!

After attending the Yachtmaster Ocean Theory Course in Malta in February 2026 I was eager to sail on beautiful Regina Laska for the practical celestial and tidal training at sea.

My expectations were high and sure enough were greatly exceeded thanks to Leon’s superb sailing skills, constant teaching and attention to every detail of a navigation that can be quite challenging, and a sailing yacht exceptionally maintained and outfitted.

My crew mates Nick and Salvo were great sailors in their own right and the overall atmosphere on board was wonderful.

I truly enjoyed the entire experience from start to finish, with highlights such as the arrival at Concarneau, the iconic passage of the Raz de Sein and the photographic shooting of Regina Laska  in the Rade de Brest by the famous marine photographer Ewan Lebourdais.

It was indeed a beautiful sailing leg in Safety, Comfort and Style… and for sure I will be back.
