The tours on Regina Laska have taught me one important lesson in life: I watched Leon how he sailed his boat and wish to apply this to the way run my business. I learnt that I could delegate more and that I don’t have to do everything on my own.
I learnt from Leon that he doesn’t have to drive the boat all the time. Leon looks at the big picture: The trip would take us from Lymington in the UK to Lorient in France in one week. But how to get there, he involved everyone onboard to figure it out. We decided to go via the Channel Islands and visit Guernsey along the way and we all were deeply involved in the tidal calculations and the weather.
Then, once under way, Leon lets his guests do the work, sail the boat, trim the sails, navigate and steer. Leon steps back as the coach, concentrating on spreading the good atmosphere onboard making everyone feel happy and important.
Leon did much more important works than sailing during the trip. He was cooking, for instance! That is to provide the right environment for the sail to keep everyone comfortable.
The sauna was awesome! It felt like home! 40 degrees and 100% humidity and we are having a beer while in the sauna !
It’s great to have this on the edge of the Bay of Biscay! I am looking forward to join Leon and Regina Laska again next year and the year after and after…
