When Kathie came onboard Regina Laska for her Ladies’ Only sail training, she didn’t know, yet, that this cruise in the Swedish archipelago would change her life completely. On her third day, she called her partner and said two things to him:
– Yes, I do wish to sail with you, wherever you lead me!
– But, I do wish it to be on a Hallberg-Rassy!
A couple of weeks later after the course, they both flew to look at a HR49 that I had recommended for them. They bought the boat from Manfred, who was the second owner and had cared for the boat for 26 years! It was love at first sight and so Katie and Jürg bought Stella Maris on the spot and have continued to care for her for the last 10 years. And the rest is history, as they say!

HR49 was sailed to Sweden and Adams Boat Care for a complete refit before beginning a very slow circumnavigation, sailing carefully, whereby Jürg took care of his partner Kathie as well as the boat.

This is a very classic Hallberg-Rassy from the Olle Enderlein era and gives a lot of comfort and a feel for safety! It’s definitely a boat that would make any cruiser proud and gives ample space and behaves very sovereign in the seas. See what Hallberg-Rassy says about the HR49 here.
