Leg 7-8-9/2027: Reginasailing Flotilla

25 June – 16 Aug Bergen – Bergen (Norway), any miles possible depending how far north we wish to get 

The leg begins in Bergen (photo above) and we will sail along the fjords under calm conditions northbound along the stunning west coast of Norway. 

It is sheltered all along, except for one peninsula called Stad-landet. 

For these legs, we will try something new: A Reginasailing Flotilla!

Privately, we have done so before: buddying up with other Reginasailing Family boats during sailing holidays. As usual, during my vacation, I don’t take any  paying guests, obviously. But this doesn’t mean we can’t meet up!  I am thus not “organising”  anything particular. Nor does it cost anything to join. No obligations to stick around, just a good excuse to sail to Norway in 2027, maybe. 

Vacation means for me NOT having an itinerary and just to live into the day! 

Leg 7, 8 and 9 are thus floating into each other and we take the days as they come. Late mornings, short trips and only in the nicest of weather. Whoever joins does so on his or her own plans.

Now for the cruising ground, it’s new for me as well! I have never sailed north of Bergen along the Norwegian coast. I have just heard so much wonderful about it, not the least from my own sailing guests who have been there or live there.

So, I asked my former guests Irene and Per, who are very experienced sailors and know this coast very well. They have been up to Lofoten a couple of times and also to Svalbard/Spitzbergen. In 2019, they even sailed to Grönland and back, a neat little sailing trip of some 5,000 miles! Another guest who has been on this fantastic coast is Arne. 

They have been kind enough to provide me with the below photos.

This will be just as thrilling for me, in other words! I have always dreamt about sailing north along the west coast of Norway, so this will become a joint experience.
